Article 89 — Article (89) Conditions of Proving Lineage by Admission

Chapter Six: Lineage

1. In order to prove lineage by admitting filiation, even during a dying sickness, the following conditions shall be met: a. The admitting person is an adult, sane, and having free will. b. The child’s lineage is unknown. c. The person to whom the admission is made confirms it if he/she is an adult and sane. d. The age difference between the person making the admission and the child supports its truth. 2. The court may request a DNA test whenever it deems necessary.
