Article 90 — Article (90) Proof of lineage by DNA Test

Chapter Six: Lineage

In exceptional circumstances, or when newborns are mixed up in hospitals, or in the event of accidents or disasters, or when there is a dispute over proving a child’s lineage, or upon a request from a competent authority, the court may order a DNA test to be conducted in accordance with applicable legislation. The court shall rule on the basis of the outcome of the test after verifying the following: 1. The child’s lineage is unknown. 2. The age difference supports his/her lineage.
