Chapter Seven: Release and Transitional-Age Inmates

1. If the prisoner has spent a period in pre-trial detention before the execution of the sentence, his release shall be based on the entire period of the sentence, including the period of pre-trial detention that must be deducted from the duration of the sentence. 2. If a pardon is issued to reduce the duration of the sentence, the period that must be spent in the penal and correctional institution for release shall not be included in the calculation of the period that has been reduced from the sentence by virtue of the pardon.
