Article 628 — Article (628)

An instrument that does not contain any of the particulars mentioned in Article (627) of this Law is not deemed a Cheque except in the following cases: 1. If the Cheque does not contain the place of payment, the place indicated next to the name of the Drawee shall be deemed as the place of payment. If several places are mentioned next to the name of the Drawee, the Cheque shall be deemed payable in the first place indicated therein. If the Cheque does not contain such data, it shall be deemed payable at the place of the Drawee's head office. 2. If the Cheque does not contain an indication of the place of issuance, it shall be deemed issued in the place indicated next to the Drawer's signature. If there is none, it shall be deemed issued in the place where it was actually signed.
