A cheque shall contain: 1. the word 'cheque' in the body and in the language of the instrument; 2. an unconditional order to pay a specified sum; 3. the name of the person required to pay (the drawee); 4. the person to whom or to whose order payment is to be made; 5. the place of payment; 6. the date and place of drawing; and 7. the signature of the drawer.
