1. From the moment the carrier receives the item to be carried, the same shall be held accountable for its destruction, in whole or in part, damage and delayed delivery thereof. 2. An item shall be deemed totally perished if the carrier fails to deliver it or to notify the consignee to attend to receive it within (30) thirty days following the expiry of the time limit set for delivery, or upon the expiry of the time limit usually required by an ordinary carrier for the carriage had it been in the same circumstances or if no date for delivery has been fixed.
