1. The carrier may withhold the item carried in satisfaction of the freight, expenses and other sums payable thereto. 2. The carrier shall have a lien over the price collected from the enforcement against the items carried, in satisfaction of the freight and other sums payable to the carrier because of the carriage. The provisions regulating the procedures of enforcement against commercially-pledged items shall apply in this regard.
