1. If the sharecropping contract terminates before the end of its term, the farmer or their heirs shall be reimbursed for what they spent on the crops that have not yet been harvested, along with fair compensation for the work performed by the farmer. 2. If the sharecropping contract terminates upon the death of the farmer, their heirs may, in lieu of exercising their right to recover the aforesaid expenses, replace their decedent until the crops ripen, provided they are able to do so.
