1. The ratification of a voidable contract may be effected by the owner, or by the person who has a right in the subject matter of the contract, or by the guardian or curator, or by the person of limited legal capacity after the completion of their capacity, or by the person under coercion after the cessation thereof, all in accordance with the provisions of the law. 2. If the law grants one of the contracting parties the right to annul the contract, the other contracting party may not assert this right. 3. The ratification of a voidable contract, whether express or implied, by the person who has the right to request its annulment, shall cause such right to lapse in respect of the defect to which the ratification was directed. 4. If a cause for annulment arises and it is asserted by the person in whose favor it is established, the court shall be bound to order its annulment, unless the law provides otherwise.
