Chapter Twelve: Penalties

1. Any person who notifies or warns another person, or discloses any information related to Transactions under review concerning Suspicious Transactions, or reveals that the Competent Authorities are conducting inquiries or investigations in respect thereof, in contravention of Article (24) hereof, shall be punished by imprisonment and a fine of not less than fifty thousand dirhams (AED 50,000), or by either of these two penalties. 2. Any person who deliberately or through gross negligence breaches the duties of managing the Funds entrusted to them, or violates any order issued by a competent authority regarding Seizure, Freezing, or other precautionary measures, shall be punished by imprisonment and a fine of not less than fifty thousand dirhams (AED 50,000), or by either of these two penalties. 3. The punishment shall be imprisonment for a period of not less than one year and a fine equal to the value of the Proceeds, provided that such fine shall not be less than one hundred thousand dirhams (AED 100,000), in the event that any of the acts mentioned in Clauses (1) and (2) of this Article result in the inability to seize the Proceeds, or in their destruction or loss of value.
