Royal Decree 80/2026 · New designation of the Public Prosecution
The Arabic designation of the Public Prosecution shall be changed from "الادعاء العام" (Al-Iddi'a Al-'Aam) to "النيابة العامة" (Al-Niyaba Al-'Amma).

Wherever they occur in laws and Royal Decrees, the new expressions "النيابة العامة" and "النائب العام" shall replace the former expressions "الادعاء العام" and "المدعي العام" respectively. Likewise, the new official titles "Assistant Attorney General", "Assistants to the Attorney General", "Chief Public Prosecutors", "Senior Public Prosecutors", "Second-grade Public Prosecutors" and "Assistant Public Prosecutors" shall replace the corresponding former titles wherever they occur in laws and Royal Decrees.

All provisions contrary to this Decree or inconsistent with its provisions are hereby repealed.

This Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force on the date of its issuance.
