New Designation of Oman's Public Prosecution — articles 1–4

The Arabic designation of the Public Prosecution shall be changed from "الادعاء العام" (Al-Iddi'a Al-'Aam) to "النيابة العامة" (Al-Niyaba Al-'Amma).

Wherever they occur in laws and Royal Decrees, the new expressions "النيابة العامة" and "النائب العام" shall replace the former expressions "الادعاء العام" and "المدعي العام" respectively. Likewise, the new official titl…

All provisions contrary to this Decree or inconsistent with its provisions are hereby repealed.

This Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force on the date of its issuance.
