Article 215 — Article (215) Inheritance of the Mother

Chapter Twelve: The Estate

1. The mother inherits “one-sixth” in either of the following two cases: a. If the deceased has an inheriting descendant. b. If the deceased has two or more siblings, males or females, from any side they may be, whether they are heirs or excluded. 2. Subject to Clause (3) of this Article, the mother inherits “one-third” of the Estate if the two conditions mentioned in Clause (1) of this Article are not met. 3. The mother inherits “one third” of the remaining Estate after the fixed share of one of the spouses, if the inheritance is limited to the parents and one of the spouses.
