A penalty of temporary imprisonment for a period not exceeding (7) seven years shall be imposed on anyone who deliberately causes permanent disability to another. If any of the circumstances stipulated in the second paragraph of Article (384) of this Law is fulfilled, this shall be considered an aggravating circumstance. A disability is deemed permanent if the injury has caused the cutting of, severance or amputation of an organ or any part thereof, or total or partial or loss its if its benefit, or the permanent total or partial loss of the function of any sense. Any grave mutilation which cannot be removed shall be considered as disability.
