1. If the court hands down a convicting judgment in one of the crimes stipulated in Article (676) of this Law, it must order the confiscation of the seized items that were obtained from the crime or that were used in committing it, all without prejudice to the rights of bona fide third parties. 2. In all cases, a judgment must be passed for confiscation if the seized items are of the kind whose manufacturing, possession, acquisition, sale or offering for sale is deemed a crime in itself, even if they are not owned by the accused person. 3. If it is not possible to seize any of the items stipulated in this Article, or it is not possible to order their confiscation due to their connection to the rights of bona fide third parties, the court shall rule a fine equivalent to the value thereof at the time the crime was committed.
