1. The acceptor for honor shall have the same liability towards a bearer of a bill of exchange and subsequent endorsers of the person in whose interest the intervention was made, in the same manner of the latter. 2. The party in whose interest the intervention was made and his guarantor may, in spite of the acceptance for honor, require the bearer to surrender to them the bill, the protest and the clearance, if any, against payment of the sum set forth in Article (594).
