Book Two: Commercial Obligations and Contracts · Part Seven: Brokerage

1. A broker shall be paid for his brokerage if such brokerage results in the conclusion of the contract between the two parties. The contract shall be deemed to have been concluded when both parties have agreed on all substantial matters therein. 2. The broker shall be entitled to receive his fee by the mere conclusion of the contract, even it was not implemented, unless otherwise required by the Law or custom. 3. Where the contract is pending to a condition precedent, the broker shall receive the fee only when such condition is realized. 4. Where it is impossible to enter into a contract for a reason attributable to the customer, the broker shall be entitled to compensation commensurate with the effort exerted.
