1. If a new defect occurs in the subject matter of the sale while in the purchaser's possession, they may not return it on the basis of the latent defect, but may only demand from the seller a reduction in the price, unless the seller agrees to take it back with the new defect. 2. If the new defect ceases, the purchaser's right to return the subject matter of the sale to the seller on the basis of the latent defect shall be restored.
