Article 437

1. The lapse of time barring a claim shall be suspended whenever there is an acceptable excuse that makes it impossible to claim the right, and the period during which such impediment exists shall not be counted in the prescribed period. 2. The lapse of time barring a claim shall be suspended in respect of a person who lacks legal capacity, or an absent or missing person, or in respect of any person prevented from disposing of their property by law or a judicial judgment, unless any of them has a legal representative.
