Scope and exclusions
Applies to
Applies to licensed telecommunications operators and other addressees within the Regulation when originating or carrying promotional and service communications or providing value-added services. Existing addressees must regularise within six months after commencement.
Limitations and exclusions
Does not replace the Personal Data Protection Law, consumer-protection, cybercrime or e-commerce rules, or telecommunications licence conditions. Lawful service and public-interest communications are not the same as promotional communications, but must satisfy the classification and requirements applicable to them.
