Under Article 7 of the Electronic Transactions Law, an electronic message has legal effect and is treated as valid and enforceable in the same manner as a written document. Its content should therefore be taken into account so long as the other party has neither denied the message nor challenged it through the prescribed process.

The principle does not dispense with authenticity, integrity, attribution, retention or admissibility requirements for particular electronic evidence. Current digital legislation must be checked. This is an account of the published principle, not a full judgment translation.
