Commercial Companies Law — Article 119

A share shall not be owned by more than one person except in the case of inheritance, provided that the heirs shall be represented by one representative to be appointed from among them, or they shall be represented by the person whose name comes first in the register of the company’s shareholders. Heirs shall be jointly liable among themselves for the consequential liabilities of such ownership. However, a share owned by the heirs shall not be disposed of except with the approval of all the heirs or their legal attorney.
