Article 54 — Article (54) Searching the Home of the Accused

1. The Judicial Police Officer may only conduct a search on the home of the Accused based on a written search warrant issued by the Public Prosecution unless the crime is caught in Flagrante Delicto and where there is cogent evidence that the Accused is concealing in his / her home chattels or papers which may lead to revealing the truth. Search shall be conducted and the relevant chattels and papers shall be seized in the manner specified by law. 2. The chattels and papers required to be found shall be looked for across all parts of the home and its appurtenances and contents.
