Article 170 — Article (170) Hearing the Statements of Litigants

1. After hearing the testimonies of both the prosecution witnesses and the defense witnesses, the Public Prosecution, the Defendant and all other litigants involved in the case may give their statements. In all instances, the Defendant shall be the last to speak. 2. The court may prevent the Defendant, the remaining litigants and their attorneys from continuing to speak in case they speak beyond the subject of the case or repeat their former statements.
