Article 302 — Chapter One: False Testimony, Perjury and Abstention from Testifying: Article (302)

Whoever delivers under oath false testimony before a judicial authority or a panel, competent to hear witnesses, or who denies the truth, conceals all or part of what he knows concerning the facts of a lawsuit regarding which he is being interrogated, whether the person delivering the testimony is admitted to testify or whether his testimony is accepted in the proceedings or not, shall be punished with incarceration for a period not less than (3) three months. If such an act occurs in the course of investigating a felony or the trial thereof, he shall be punished with temporary imprisonment; and if the false testimony results in adjudging the death penalty or life imprisonment, the false witness shall be punished with the same penalty.
