1. Where the maturity date of a bill of exchange is a public or bank holiday, the payment thereof may be claimed only on the following business day. 2. Similarly, no action may be taken in relation to the bill of exchange and commercial papers, such as presentation for acceptance or making a protest, except on a business day. 3. If an action related to the bill of exchange and commercial papers is scheduled to be taken within a specified time limit and the last day of such time limit is a public or bank holiday, the time limit shall be extended to the next business day. 4. The intervening holidays shall be calculated within the time limit. 5. The first day of the time limit shall not be considered when calculating statutory or contractual time limits related to the bill of exchange and commercial papers.
