1. Where a drawee pays off the bill of exchange, he may recover it from the bearer duly signed to the effect of payment. 2. The bearer may not refuse partial payment. 3. In the event of partial payment, the drawee may request such payment to be stated in the bill of exchange and a receipt for the sum to be issued. The drawer, endorsers and any obligor under the bill of exchange shall be discharged up to the sum paid and the bearer shall protest the unpaid sum.
