1. A bill of exchange that falls payable at sight shall be payable once presented, and shall be presented for payment within one year of the date of being drawn up. The drawee may shorten or extend such time limit but the endorsers may only shorten the same. 2. The drawer may stipulate that the bill of exchange payable at sight be not presented before the lapse of a fixed period of time, and in such case, the time for presentation shall be calculated from the maturity of such period of time.
