1. The giver of an aval is bound as the person for whom he has become guarantor. 2. The liability of the giver of an aval shall be valid even if the obligation guaranteed is void for any reason whatsoever, other than a defect in the form. 3. Where the giver of an aval pays the bill of exchange, all rights arising therefrom shall devolve on itself vis-a-vis the guaranteed party and every party liable towards the latter under the bill of exchange.
