Article 389 — Article (389)

1. Where the beneficiary is declared bankrupt, the person making the order may suspend the execution of the transfer order, even if the beneficiary has received it in person. 2. The declaration of bankruptcy by the person making the order of transfer shall not prevent the execution of the transfer orders which had been presented to the bank prior to the issue of the bankruptcy declaration judgment, save where the court decrees otherwise. 3. The provisions of the preceding two Paragraphs shall apply in so far as they do not contradict the Bankruptcy Law.
