Subject to the provisions of Article (391) hereof, a deposit contract shall not entitle the depositor to withdraw amounts from the bank exceeding the sums deposited therein. Where the bank carries out transactions which cause the depositor's balance to be in debit, the bank shall forthwith inform the depositor of the same in order to adjust his balance.
