1. Where carriage is cancelled prior to the commencement or completion thereof for a reason attributable to the carrier or its subordinates or the means of carriage used by it, the passenger shall not be required to pay the fare, without prejudice to the passenger's right to claim compensation, if applicable. 2. Where carriage is disrupted after the commencement thereof for a reason attributed to the carrier or its subordinates or the means of carriage used by it, the passenger may refrain from continuing the trip and the carrier shall, in this case, bear the costs of carrying the passenger to the agreed-upon place. However, the passenger may choose to wait until the traffic resumes and shall not be required in such case to pay any additional fare.
