1. The consignor may require the carrier to hand him a copy of the bill of lading. 2. Where no bill of lading is executed, the consignor may require the carrier to deliver to him a receipt signed by the carrier purporting to the receipt of the item carried. Such receipt shall be dated and must include the sufficient particulars to identify the item carried and the freightage.
