1. If an agent authorized to sell is not restricted to a sale for immediate payment, they may sell the principal's property for cash or on deferred payment in accordance with custom. 2. If the agent sells on deferred payment, they may take a pledge or a surety from the purchaser for what they have sold, even if the principal has not authorized them to do so.
