1. The employer may be released from the contract and suspend its execution at any time before its completion, provided they compensate the contractor for all expenses incurred, the work completed, and the profit they would have earned if the work had been completed. 2. The court may reduce the compensation due in respect of the profit lost by the contractor if the circumstances render such reduction equitable. In particular, the court shall deduct therefrom what the contractor has saved as a result of the employer's release from the contract and what they have earned by employing their time in other work.
