Article 714

1. The lessor warrants the lessee against any defects in the leased property that prevent or substantially diminish its enjoyment, and does not warrant defects that are customarily tolerated. 2. If a defect results in depriving the lessee of the enjoyment of the leased property, they may request rescission or a reduction of rent, with a warranty for any damages incurred. 3. The lessor does not warrant a defect if the lessee was aware of it at the time of contracting or could have easily become aware thereof.
