1. The rent may be in cash, in kind, a debt, or a usufruct. 2. It is required that the rent be known, by specifying its type and amount if it is cash, and by stating its type, description, and specifying its amount if it is not cash. 3. If the rent is unknown, the lease may be rescinded, and the rent of the like shall be due for the period elapsed prior to rescission.
