Book Two: Nominate Contracts · Section One: Contracts of Transfer of Ownership · Chapter Five: Company Contract · Part One: General Provisions

1. A company is a contract whereby two or more persons undertake to contribute to an enterprise by each providing a contribution of property or service, for the purpose of investing in that enterprise and sharing in any profits or losses resulting therefrom. 2. Notwithstanding Paragraph (1) of this Article and in accordance with the applicable legislation, any of the following shall be permissible: a. The establishment or ownership of a company by a single person. b. The reinvestment of the net profits of the company to achieve the purposes for which it was established.
