1. The sale of a mortgaged property by a registered mortgage shall not entail the transfer of the debt secured by the mortgage to the liability of the purchaser, unless there is an agreement to that effect. 2. If the seller and the purchaser agree to assign the debt, the consent of the mortgagee creditor shall be obtained before the registration of the sale contract, unless the special legislations provide otherwise.
