1. If a contract is concluded by way of representation, the person of the representative, not that of the principal, shall be taken into consideration in determining defects of consent, or the effect of knowledge of certain special circumstances, or the imputation of knowledge thereof. 2. If the representative is an agent acting in accordance with specific instructions issued thereto by their principal, the principal may not rely on the agent's ignorance of circumstances that the principal knew or ought to have known.
