Article 1201

1. Possession through an intermediary shall be valid when the intermediary exercises it in the name of the possessor and is connected thereto in such a manner as to be obliged to comply with the possessor’s instructions regarding this possession. 2. In case of doubt, it shall be presumed that the person exercising possession possesses for themselves. If it is a continuation of a prior possession, it shall be presumed that this continuation is for the account of the person who initiated it.
