Muhaya'ah is a usufruct apportionment and may be temporal or spatial. In the former, the co-owners take turns enjoying the usufruct of the entire joint property for periods proportionate to each of their respective shares. In the latter, each co-owner enjoys the usufruct of a specific part of the joint thing.
