A suretyship shall be extinguished in the following cases: 1. Performance of the debt. 2. Loss or destruction of the property in the possession of the obligor by force majeure and before a claim is made. 3. Extinction of the contract under which the obligation against the obligor arose. 4. Discharge the surety from the suretyship or of the debtor from the debt by the creditor.
