Article 33 — Article (33)

Chapter Two: Financial Institutions, Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions, Virtual Asset Service Providers, and Non-Profit Organizations · Part Two: Obligations Specific to Financial Institutions · Division Four: Financial Groups

1. Financial Institutions shall ensure that their foreign branches and subsidiaries, in which they hold a majority interest, apply combating Crime measures in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Decree by Law and this Resolution, where the minimum requirements for combating Crime in the other country are less stringent than those applied in the State, to the extent permitted by the laws and regulations of the other State. 2. Where the other State does not permit the appropriate implementation of combating Crime measures consistent with the requirements of the Decree by Law and this Resolution, Financial Institutions shall take additional measures to manage and mitigate the risks of Money Laundering, Financing of Terrorism, and Proliferation Financing associated with their foreign operations, shall notify the Supervisory Authority in the State thereof, and shall comply with the instructions issued thereby in this regard.
