Until the cause is removed and a further decision is issued, prohibits imports of live cloven-hoofed animals and their products, derivatives and waste from Limpopo and North West, South Africa; Kgalagadi, Botswana; and Bayan-Ölgii, Mongolia. Made under the Veterinary Quarantine Law 45/2004, its Executive Regulation 107/2008, the competent veterinary authority's recommendation and the public interest. The Decision is published in the Official Gazette and applies from the day following publication.

Scope and exclusions
Applies to
Live cloven-hoofed animals and their products, derivatives and waste originating only in the five named administrative areas.
Limitations and exclusions
Does not cover products and derivatives treated or heat-processed in accordance with the WOAH Terrestrial Animal Health Code. It does not replace other sanitary, veterinary, customs, permit or documentary requirements; later decisions require separate review.
