Scope and exclusions
Applies to
Applies to persons professionally surveying and estimating insured losses within Oman's regulated perimeter after an insured risk occurs. Companies previously licensed to value vehicles damaged in accidents must regularise under the new Regulation within one year after it takes effect.
Limitations and exclusions
A loss adjuster's licence does not replace an insurer, takaful operator, broker or other market licence and does not itself determine coverage or an obligation to indemnify. The Decision repeals the former accident-damaged-vehicle valuation controls X/27/2017 but does not replace the principal insurance statutes or obligations under a particular policy.
