Scope and exclusions
Applies to
Governs the CBO's central Shari'ah-supervision layer and its interaction with Shari'ah boards of Islamic banks, windows and other licensees operating on Shari'ah principles.
Limitations and exclusions
Does not replace a licensee's own Shari'ah-governance bodies and procedures, Banking Law 2/2025, the 2019 Regulation or a specific binding HSSA pronouncement; the applicable conclusion depends on the product and decision date.
