Chapter Five: Inmate Treatment, Care and Rehabilitation

1. If the doctor in charge of providing medical treatment to inmates in the penal and correctional institution finds that the inmate is suffering from a disease that threatens his life or the lives of others or completely incapacitates him, he must refer him to one of the health facilities within the territorial jurisdiction closest to the penal and correctional institution for assessment and preparation of a medical report on his health condition. 2. The medical report shall be presented to the Public Prosecution to take appropriate action regarding the inmate's condition and notify the health authorities of this.
