Sentence to life or temporary imprisonment shall entail by force of the law, since the day on which it is issued, the deprivation of the convict of all the following rights and privileges: 1. The right to be an elector or a member in the legislative or consultative councils. 2. The right to be a member of the municipal councils, boards of directors of public entities or organizations and establishments, or associations or institutions of public benefit, or to be a member or manager of a joint stock company. 3. The right to be a guardian, curator or proxy. 4. The right to wear national or foreign badges of honour. 5. The right to carry arms. The period of deprivation may not exceed (3) three years as of the date on which the execution of the punishment is completed or forfeited.
