A penalty of temporary imprisonment shall be imposed on anyone who commits a crime of theft against the weapons or ammunition of the Armed Forces or the police. The penalty shall be life imprisonment if any of the circumstances stipulated forth in Article (437) of this Law is fulfilled. The penalty shall be detention for a period not less than one year, but not exceeding (5) five years if the theft is committed against supplies or tools used or prepared for use in telecommunications or other services constructed by the Government or licensed to be constructed for public benefit.
